Friday, October 5, 2007 - 12:22pm   Lots o' Art (Nearly a Year's Worth!)
I just realized it's almost been a YEAR since my last post!!! Good grief!
Well, I do have quite a few images to show for that amount of time. Unfortunately I did do a lot of "secret" work this year, so there's a lot I CAN'T show. But here's what I can show you...
First, Superboy and Superman go at it in this gift for a friend of mine, Jeff Nowicki. I've been working with Jeff for over a year on characters for his upcoming book. Keep a look out for his name in the future!
Next, another drawing for Tom Akel's Heroverse. This one is of Gear.
Next, a sketch of He-Man I did on the table of the local DPO Grille. You can see more of these in the sketch section.
I got bored at work one day and did a quick sketch of He-Man and Superman. I'd always wanted to do a pinup up these two guys. This was the closest I had gotten.
Next, two Green Goddess pinups. The first I did as a commission, the second I did for fun and is for sale if anyone's interested!
Finally, I did sit down and draw a Superman/He-Man pinup. I want to do a battle one some time though.
Stemming from a discussion on the He-Man.org message boards, I did this parody of everyone's favorite Eternian, He-Man.
From time to time I have "students" come over and I show them a few things to get them going down the art road. My latest is named Hannah and she's quite talented. As a gift I drew our favorite characters together, Superman and The Animaniacs.
Lastly, a high school mascot gone awry for a friend of mine. This is to be used for his 20 year HS reunion.

Whew! Well, there you have it! Finally an update!!!

Thanks!!!

I just have one piece to add this time. But, I thought it was cool enough to stand on its own!
My pastor asked me to draw the "locust" from Revelation 9. A face only a mother could love!

Friday, November 24, 2006 - 6:40pm   More Superman!
Went with Donna Marie to her grandmother's house today. Had a good time messin' around, eating and kidding with her dad. Also had a bit of time to sketch while everyone else gabbed!
Two of the sketches I've posted for you to see...Good ol' Superman once again! I did two other sketches today, but you'll have to wait for a sketchbook section in my new/old comic, Callous, to see those! Hopefully, Callous will be out later in 2007 from Image!

I've also added an RSS/XML feed of my site updates. If you click the "RSS" link on the left, you can use Internet Explorer 7, Firefox 2 (or 1.5 with an RSS plugin) or another RSS reader to subscribe to my site and get a quick look at any updates I make. In addtion, you can add my feed to your Google, Yahoo or MSN homepage. HOPEFULLY, I'll be making enough updates to make it worth it for you to subscribe!!!

Thanks!!!

Monday, November 20, 2006 - 7:16pm   Teela vs. Evil-Lyn
It always seems like I have nothing to show you guys!
I've actually been quite busy on a project that, unfortunately, I can't show to anyone! So, while it may seem I'm doing nothing, I can assure you, I'm working!
This time I have just one drawing, but it's a long-awaited one. Teela vs. Evil-Lyn from the Masters of the Universe books and cartoon. I think some friends of mine are going to be coloring this one up. So, check back soon for that!

Friday, September 29, 2006 - 5:27pm   Back from Vacation
I just got nack from vacation in Duck, North Carolina. We had a blast!
I actually did a few sketches while I was there. So, I've posted them below. You'll notice a lot of color work. Well, I've always wanted to do some of those awesome marker colors I see artists doing. Apparently I still suck at it. But hey, it's a start! And there's only so much you can do with a pack of 24 Crayola's from the local drug store!!!

Enjoy!

Sunday, August 13, 2006 - 6:46am   New Sketches Section
Just added a new section that I haven't put a link in the Illustrations section for. I was adding so many sketches to the Solo:Pinups section I figured I might as well just create a Sketchbook Gallery!
Right now there's a bunch of sketches in a series I've done at a local restaurant. You can read more about that by looking at the image below.
So, without further ado...here's a link to the new section: Sketchbook

I'll add more images very soon!
Thanks!

Monday, June 26, 2006 - 8:50pm   Superman Kick!
I have a few new images to show. Mostly some sketches.
First is a badge I did for the boy scouts. Turned out pretty cool.
Next is yet another sketch in crayon. This time it's my favorite hero in blue, Superman!
After that is a more refined drawing of Superman.
Some of you may know the name Andy Bui...if not, shame on you! Anyway, he's a good friend of mine who asked me to draw a picture of him playing quarterback.
After that we have a color version of Andy done by the great JD Smith.
Last, ANOTHER picture of Superman...this time he's with a dinosaur. I had a budding artist come over to learn a thing or two from me. (I'm sure he could have learned more watching Sesame Street). His favorite thing turned out to be DRAGONS, not dinosaurs...I was misinformed. But, he still got a big kick out of the drawing anyway!

Okay, I'll try to update more often!
Thanks!

Saturday, March 25, 2006 - 11:33am   Osaka!!!
Man, time just flies by! Here we are at the end of March already!!!
I just turned 31! Time is REALLY flying!
Not a whole lot to report. But, I would like to announce that I will be working on a new book with MVCreations this year. The book is called Callous and it was the story that really got Val Staples and me started in comics. I'm VERY excited about doing this book. Those of you that know me also know that my license plate read 'Callous' for quite a while! Interestingly enough, it wasn't until I changed it that I'm actually going to do te book. Hmmmm...

Anyway, here are a couple drawings newly added to the gallery. First is a new commission for Tom Akel at Heroverse. It's of his character Lord Dusk. I'm sure this will be colored by Nathan Baertsch sometime soon! So, keep an eye out for that. Next is a gift for the owner of my favorite restaurant. I even tried my hand at coloring it. Realizing that my meager colors would definitely not do it. I got Jeremy Roberts to color it. Man, that guy can color! Had it back to me in a few hours!!!

Enjoy!

Thursday, September 22, 2005 - 9:12pm   Commissions Galore!
I know it's been too long since my last update! I've actually done quite a bit of work since my last update. Unfortunately, I just can't show you all of it yet!
Below there are some new pencils I've done. The first is my rendition of Ash from Army of Darkness. Next, a Skeletor commission. And then a sketch I did for my little brother of Darth Vader. Then we have some awesome color work by my man Nathan Baertsch! All five of those beauties had his special touch added to them. Awesome stuff!

My most recent work is pencils for the National Kidney Foundation commissioned by MVCreations. The drawings will be used for a van that will tour the Illinois area.

I recently completed the Craddock Cunningham Architectural Partners website. It turned out pretty nice if I do say so myself!

Some cool news!
I just recently checked out Rob Zombie's website. I was surprised to find quite a bit of MY artwork on it! How freakin' cool is that?! The cool skull logo at the beginning and the drawing of Rob on his throne. Also, my favorite, the music page is adorned by Val Staples' mangled body swinging on a chain! All the artwork was taken from the intros I drew for Rob Zombie's Spookshow International while I was with MVCreations. All of the intros can be seen in the Illustrations Gallery. Incidentally, MV is releasing the Spookshow trade soon.

Last, but certainly not least...
I'm MOVING! I'll be moving October 7th-8th. This means I'm gonna be very busy for the next several weeks. Beyond that I will be doing some renovation to the new house which will keep me busy for at least a couple months! This means I won't have much time to devote to artwork. I've had to push back my commission schedule a bit and I apologize to those who are having to wait longer than expected for their commission to be completed. Please bear with me while I get this torturous task accomplished!!!

Alrighty, I think that's it for now!
Thanks!

Thursday, June 16, 2005 - 10:19pm   Heroverse and More!
I guess everyone has been wondering where the heck I've been! Well, inundated with a recent flurry of commissions for the most part! Some art of which I was not allowed to post until now. So, perhaps you can forgive me!
I've been working on several pieces for Tom over at Heroverse. Great guy to work for and great characters too! Lots of fun! I've just posted 3 commissions done for him.
I figured I'd take a cue from my friend Jonboy and start posting new art on the news page here! So much more convenient! Enjoy!

Commissions commissions commissions! The first 3 are commissions done for Heroverse. Next, are He-Man and Ryu for Brendon Crow. Then a cool Webstor for Pierce Ryan. A "doodle" I did on a table in a restaurant. Last, but not least, a commission for my wife's boss!

Saturday, February 19, 2005 - 3:21pm   New Site Design
Well, as you can see, I finally got the new site done! Now I just have to get some new art put up! Stay tuned!

Tuesday, November 16, 2004 - 8:02pm   Wedding Photos
I 'm a bit late with this. I know, what a surprise! Anyway, here are pics from our wedding!
Wedding Photos

I'm also working on a redesign to this site. Once that's done I'll also be putting up more art. This site has been a bit boring for the past year or so. Since I'm no longer working at the MVCreations studio I should have more time to get this site up to date!

Thanks!

Thursday, February 12, 2004 - 6:56pm   Ultimate Quest
I just wanted all of you to know that I got engaged last night! The wonderful Donna Marie Lemar said, "Yes." to my proposal and I couldn't be happier! Now, it wasn't just a simple, "Will you marry me?" Oh no, it was a very well-planned scheme which caught her totally by surprise!
For those of you with high-speed internet or if you have a lot of patience, you can download my proposal here. Be advised, it is just over 20MB and you'll need a PC to run it. It has not been tested on MACs.If you need further instruction, email me here.
You can also view the art below!

Friday, November 21, 2003 - 7:40pm   Busy Busy Busy
As any of you who check this site often will notice...I don't update it very much! I'm hoping that will just be a temporary situation. I've been very busy at MVCreations this year and have had little time to update this site. However, those interested in keeping up with my artwork, You can see my newest work in the Tales of the Realm section of MVCreations.com.

Thanks!!!
